Matthew Bailey Becomes a Non-Executive Director of Boundary Bend Limited

Dear Shareholders

We are pleased to announce that Matthew Bailey has agreed to become a non-executive director of Boundary Bend Limited.  This will increase the total number of non-executive directors to four.

With the continued stellar growth of Cobram Estate and the purchase of the Red Island brand in November   2012, Boundary Bend now has significant sales revenue and asset value in both these brands.  In fact, annual sales through these two brands this financial year will be in excess of $70 million, which will represent approximately 70 % of our total sales revenue.  Therefore, decisions we make about branding strategies and marketing campaigns are now more than ever of material importance to Boundary Bend.

Matthew is well qualified in this regard, being the founding partner and managing director of Junior, a successful advertising agency which employed 75 people with offices in Sydney and Brisbane, prior to being purchased by John Singleton’s STW Group in 2007.

Matthew is well known to Boundary Bend having generously given his time in the past couple of years to assist our team, which included attending our strategic planning session last year.

Below is a brief summary of Matthews’ achievements.

Matthew Bailey: Age 39

  •  Bachelor of Commerce degree at University of QLD
  • 3 years as an Account Director at Lowe Lintas London (International marketing and communication company of 750 people with its head office in London and regarded at the time as one of the best agencies in the world)
  • Founding Partner and Managing Director of Junior (advertising agency of 75 people with offices in Brisbane and Sydney)
  • At the age of 33 he was voted by leading industry magazine AdNews in their top 40 Australian advertising/marketing people under 40 yrs of age (Top 40 Under 40).
  • Junior was responsible for large national advertising accounts such as Tabcorp, NRMA, Bank of Qld, Colonial First State, GPT, SBS, News Limited and Isuzu.
  • Junior was voted as regional agency of the year by both AdNews and B&T.
  • In 2007 Junior was sold to Australia’s largest listed communications company (STW Pty Ltd).
  • Matthew has extensive experience in the FMCG category working on brands such as Golden Circle, Parmalat and Unilever.
  • Currently a director and the largest shareholder of a top 3 surf board brand/manufacturer in the world- DHD surfboards
  • Founding director of Harajuku Gyoza, a Japanese restaurant brand with venues in Brisbane and Sydney
  • Founding director of Nitrogenie, a liquid Nitrogen ice cream brand currently with stores in Noosa , Brisbane and Bangkok
  • Partner of Prostate Screen Australia, the nation’s first dedicated prostate screening clinic

Half yearly Results

On or before 15 March 2014 we are required to lodge our audited half-year accounts with ASIC. At that point, these accounts will be emailed to you along with an update on the company.
